World Athletics Championships: Germany's Kaul Wins Decathlon Gold

Doha, October 04 (QNA) - Germany's Niklas Kaul won Thursday gold in the Men's Decathlon, as part of the World Athletics Championships that are currently taking place in Qatar until October 6. He won 8691 points, while Estonia's Maicel Uibo collected 8604 points to win the silver medal. The bronze medal went to Canada's Damian Warner, who had 852 points. The Decathlon has been played in the Olympics since 1904. It is an event in athletics consists of 10 different track and field races. It includes the 100 meters, long jump, shot put, high jump, 400 meters, 110 meters hurdles, discus throw, pole vault, javelin throw, and the 1500 meters race. (QNA)
