MEMO ON “AZERBAIJAN, TURKEY AND GEORGIA ENERGY BRIDGE” PROJECT SIGNED IN TBILISI
Tbilisi, April 9 (AzerTAc). “Azerenergy” Company of Azerbaijan, the State Power System of Georgia and the Power Energy Transmission Corporation of Turkey signed a Memorandum on mutual understanding within the Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey energy bridge project.
The joint Energy Bridge project is financed by the USAID.
As stated, the Working Group will prepare the work of high-voltage networks in all three countries and will realize the identification of investment in terms of regional prospects, which will help improve capacity of the network and the exchange and sale of electricity. This will improve security of the entire system.
Vice-president of Azerenergy Company of Azerbaijan Marlen Asgarov spoke of the importance of the project in defining perspectives of energy systems of these countries.
