32ND MEETING OF PABSEC CULTURAL, EDUCATIONAL AND SOCIAL AFFAIRS COMMITTEE HELD IN BATUMI
Baku, April 9 (AzerTAc) The 32nd meeting of Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation`s (PABSEC) Cultural, Educational and Social Affairs Committee was held on 7-8 April in Batumi, Georgia.
The main subject on the agenda was “Migration in the BSEC Member States – social and cultural aspects”.
The meeting participants discussed how to fight against illegal migration and exploitation of child labor.
Attending the event, member of Azerbaijan`s parliamentary delegation to the Organization Jala Aliyeva spoke of the migration policy in her country.
She drew the participants` attention to some steps taken in her country to prevent exploitation of child labour.
According to Aliyeva, one of the amendments and supplements made to Azerbaijan`s constitution is associated with strengthening protection of children`s rights and preventing exploitation of child labor.
Ms. Aliyeva also noted that about a million of Azerbaijanis became internally displaced persons in the wake of the Armenian occupation policy, with their rights violated.
She added the Azerbaijani government did everything to improve living conditions for them.
At the end of the meeting, the participants decided to hold the Committee`s 33rd session in Chisinau, Moldova.
