Bahrain beat Kuwait 4-2, advance into Gulf semi-finals

Doha, Dec. 2 (BNA): Bahrain displayed impressive skills and qualified for the semi-finals of the Gulf Cup after beating Kuwait 4-2. Bahrain led 1-0 at the half time of the match thanks to a goal by Ali Madan in the last minute. Kuwait leveled the score 1-1 through a penalty converted by Youssef Nasser (57). However, Bahrain scored two goals by Jassem Al Shaikh (70) and Tiago (83). Kuwait revived its chances thanks to a goal by Ahmed Al Zanki (85) before Tiago shattered their hopes through a superb goal in the dying seconds of the game. Saudi Arabia topped the group with a 3-1 victory over Oman, the champion of the last edition, and Bahrain came second. In the semi-finals, Saudi Arabia will take on Qatar which came second in the other group, and Bahrain will play against Iraq, winners of the group thanks to victories over Qatar and the UAE and a draw with Yemen.
