Equestrian media course starts on Friday

Manama, Dec. 20 (BNA): The first media course focusing on the equestrian events will open today at the Al-Dana Ballroom, the Gulf Hotel. The event is being held under the patronage of HM the King’s Representative for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, National Security Advisor, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) Chairman and Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) Honorary President HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad’s Media Office is organising the course in cooperation with Information Centre, Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) and Phoenix Company. Leading media figures specialized in covering equestrian events are attending the course which focuses on rules and regulations, TV coverage, the use of social media in marketing events and other topics. Sponsoring companies will be honoured and certificates presented to participants at the end of the course. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa commended the efforts exerted by the organising committee to ensure the success of the media course, stressing Bahrain’s keenness on promoting equestrian sport and honing the skills of young media staff. He underlined Bahrain’s sports strides and achievements, stressing the importance of forming specialized media teams to cover events professionally and efficiently. He stressed the importance of the course which, he said, lays the foundation for equestrian media and represents an opportunity to acquire first-hand skills in the presence of an elite of GCC and Arab specialists.
