Qatar Chess Federation Organizes 3rd "Stay at Home" International Championship

Doha, April 14 (QNA) - Qatar Chess Federation announced on Monday that it will organize the 3rd consecutive international championship, "Stay at Home", a rapid chess game using remote play, which will be launched next Friday in cooperation with Abdullah Abdulghani Company. The previous edition of the championship witnessed the largest participation in the history of the federation's tournaments, reaching 2354 players and the participation of 40 international professors from different countries. Qatar Chess Federation confirmed that the third championship system will be through accumulating points and the duration of the competitions will be 80 minutes through LIchess App in smartphones or iPads, and the points will be calculated with the classic method. American chess Grandmaster Andrew Tang succeeded in the second international edition last Friday by achieving his second successive title. (QNA)
