Azerbaijan confirms 101 new coronavirus cases, 53 recovered

Baku, May 15, AZERTAC 101 new cases of coronavirus infection have been recorded in Azerbaijan, while 53 patients have been recovered and discharged from the hospital, the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers has told AZERTAC. According to the Task Force, an Azerbaijani citizen, born in 1977, has died after testing positive for COVID-19. “The overall confirmed cases in Azerbaijan have reached 2,980, with 1,886 recoveries and 36 deaths, while treatment of 1,058 others is underway in the specialized hospitals. 37 of the infected are in a severe and 47 in a moderate-to-severe condition, while the health of others is stable. A total of 220,363 coronavirus tests have been conducted in the country so far," the Task Force added.
