Al-Sadd Signs Spanish Midfielder Santi Cazorla

Doha, August 07 (QNA) - Al-Sadd Football Club announced today that it has signed Spanish midfielder Santi Cazorla, coming from Villarreal. Cazorla left the ranks of Villarreal, after finishing his contract, and will join Al-Sadd coached by the Spanish Xavi Hernandez. Cazorla, at 35 years old, has decided to end his career in Europe after two campaigns defending Villarreal's colors. Spanish midfielder Santi Cazorla, the new Al-Sadd player, expressed his happiness to join the club, and said in a press statement after signing the contract, that Al-Sadd is an important club and it is a great honor for him to be in Qatar and to play for this club. Regarding the upcoming World Cup 2022 and his impressions of Qatar's ability to organize a unique and different tournament, the Spanish star said that Qatar has everything and it is the best place to hold the World Cup.(QNA)
