Qatar Boxing, Wrestling Federation Holds Regular Meeting

Doha, September 13 (QNA) - The Qatar Boxing and Wrestling Federation (QBWF) held its regular meeting under the chairmanship of its President of Dr. Yousuf Al Kazim. The meeting reviewed a number of items on the meeting's agenda, which constituted the adoption of the minutes of the previous meeting of the Federation's Board of Directors , and the participations in foreign championships for boxing and wrestling during the last quarter of this year, taking into account the possibility of postponing them due to the coronavirus pandemic. The meeting also discussed the new headquarters of the federation in the Lusail Multipurpose Hall, where coordination is underway between the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) and the Ministry of Culture and Sports to use the hall as a headquarters for individual sports federations. During the meeting, the Board members discussed the draft of the new Boxing and Wrestling Act, and decided to continue discussing the provisions of this act in coordination with the Sports Affairs Department of the Qatar Olympic Committee.
