Seoul to hold Korea-China cultural forum next month

SEOUL, April 28 (Yonhap) -- A culture and arts forum aimed at increasing exchanges between South Korea and China will open next month in Seoul, officials here said Tuesday.

The upcoming forum, running for two days from May 7 at Seoul Olympic Parktel in
the southeastern part of the city, is the second such event following the first
forum held in Beijing last year.
Culture experts, artists, filmmakers and novelists of the two countries will
discuss the prospects of their countries' cultural ties after the Beijing Olympic
Games last summer, Seoul's culture ministry said.
Detailed schedules will include discussions on stage arts, the cultural contents
industry, traditional dances and the popularity of Korean pop culture in Asia.
