AMAN TO GIVE CASH AID TO PALESTINIANS

KUALA LUMPUR, May 6 (Bernama) -- Aman Palestine Berhad has collected
USD$382,000 (RM1.34 million) in aid to the Palestinians in Gaza.

Its executive chairman, Abdullah Zaik Abdul Rahman said the aid would be
sent through the Foreign Ministry at the end of the month.

"We still hope for more donations from Malaysians to help the Palestinians
get back on their feet," he said when launching the Palestinian Week organised
by Mara Religious and Welfare Association here Tuesday.

Mara director-general Nam Marthinin, who launched the programme, said
it was aimed at creating awareness on the plight of the Palestinians.

Among the events lined-up are an exhibition, a video display, a poetry
recitation on the history of the struggle of the Palestinians, and a seminar
titled 'The End of Zionis Agenda.'
