Al-Raya, Al-Watan Commends Qatar-Jordan Strategic Cooperation
Doha, August 17 (QNA) - In their editorials Tuesday, Al-Raya and Al-Watan newspapers affirmed the strength and deeply rooted Qatari-Jordanian relations, noting in this regard the talks held by HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani in Jordan on Monday.
The papers said that the talks reflect the nature of the strong and well-established relations between the two brotherly countries, on one hand, and their keenness on the need to unify joint efforts, bring Arab viewpoints closer, and strengthen regional dialogue mechanisms and establish its bases in order to achieve security and stability in the region on the other hand.
These talks came at a very important time in view of the successive developments taking place in the region, which call for close ranks and reunification, as they reviewed bilateral cooperation relations and ways to develop friendship bonds and the achievements made between the two brotherly countries at the political and economic levels, in addition to coordination in regional issues, especially the Palestinian cause, the newspaper said.
For its part, Al-Raya newspaper said in its editorial that the discussions held by HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan reflected the depth of the strategic relations between Qatar and Jordan and the extent of joint coordination between the two brotherly countries towards bilateral, regional and international issues.
The newspaper stressed on the common desire between the leaderships of the two countries to consolidate, advance and strengthen bilateral relations in various fields, especially political, cultural, economic and investment. It noted that the two countries are keen to enhance joint cooperation, especially in the fields of energy and infrastructure, in addition to exchanging experiences and training within the preparations for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Al-Raya concluded its editorial by saying that the relations are currently witnessing great prosperity, as HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs indicated that his discussions in Jordan touched on the economic files and the developmental role of Qatari investments in Jordan, praising the positive role and constructive contribution of the Jordanian brothers in Qatar, and describing them as the best representatives of Jordan.
For its part, Al-Watan said that the results of the meetings held by HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani in Jordan yesterday, reflected the nature of the strong and solid relations between the two brotherly countries, and their keenness on the need to unify joint efforts, bring Arab viewpoints closer, strengthen regional dialogue mechanisms and establish its bases in order to achieve security and stability in the region.

The newspaper concluded by saying that the relations of the two countries have always been characterized by the highest levels of understanding, cooperation and coordination, and were based on deep foundations of mutual respect and joint coordination for the common bilateral interests and for the good of the Arab world.
