Qatar National Team Continue Preparations for European Qualifiers for 2022 World Cup

Vienna, August 18 (QNA) - Qatar National Team continue intensive training in the external camp in Austria, in preparation for the upcoming matches in the European qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup. Head Coach Felix Sanchez refused to play friendly matches and was satisfied with daily training during the camp. Qatar team will play three more matches in the European qualifiers against Serbia on Sept. 1; Portugal on Sept. 4; and Luxemburg on Sept. 7. Host nation Qatar plays in the European qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup in the first group which includes Portugal, Serbia, Luxemburg, Azerbaijan and Ireland. The national team started the European qualifiers journey in March with three matches in which they defeated Luxemburg (1-0); won against Azerbaijan (2-1), and tied with Ireland (1-1). (QNA)
