Drive for Attaining Goals of Grain and Fruit Production Reviewed in DPRK

Pyongyang, September 7 (KCNA) -- The socialist emulation drive for attaining the goals of early cereals and fruits production in 2021 was reviewed through video-conferencing on September 6. It was attended by Ju Chol Gyu, vice-premier of the Cabinet and minister of Agriculture, Ri Tu Song, department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials of the Ministry of Agriculture and the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea and officials of the units involved in the emulation drive. Han Jong Hyok, chairman of the Central Committee of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea, made a report on the review. Then standings of the drive were announced. South Hamgyong Province, Pyongyang City, Sinchon and Kumya counties, and Toksong Cooperative Farm in Anak County took the lead in grain production. Kwail County and the Onchon Fruit Farm distinguished themselves in fruit production. -0-
