Foreign Ministry participates in 17th Annual NATO Conference

Copenhagen, Sept. 7 (BNA): A delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs participated in the 17th Annual NATO Conference on Arms Control, Disarmament and Weapons of Mass Destruction Non-Proliferation, held here on 6-7 September.
The conference focused on the latest developments regarding the dangers of chemical weapons proliferation, and technological developments associated with ballistic missiles, the use of artificial intelligence in nuclear energy, and the NATO 2030 agenda.
The Chief of Strategic Affairs, Ambassador Nancy Abdulla Jamal, highlighted the positions of the Kingdom of Bahrain in achieving international peace and security, according to the visions of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
She also shed light on the achievements of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain in maintaining its commitments to international treaties linked through its national legal and judicial legislation, stressing the Kingdom of Bahrain's unequivocal position that calls for the Middle East region to be free of weapons of mass destruction.
A number of senior international diplomatic and military figures representing their governments in the issue of non-proliferation and weapons of mass destruction, and representatives from the International Atomic Energy Agency, also participated in the conference.
