"Ambassadors of Support" Program Kicks Off at Qatar Scientific Club
Doha, September 07 (QNA) - The "Ambassadors of Support" program, organized by the Youth Affairs Department of the Ministry of Culture and Sports, kicked off Tuesday at Qatar Scientific Club.
Held throughout September to October, the program is one of the new programs offered by the Ministry of Culture and Sports for Qatari youth. It is an extension of the fourth edition of the pioneers of youth work, and targets the age groups from 22 to 35 though a variety of rehabilitation and training workshops.
HE Minister of Culture and Sports Salah bin Ghanem Al Ali attended the launch of the first workshop of the program today at Qatar Scientific Club. A rich and open discussion took place between HE the Minister and the youth. His Excellency praised the youths participation in this program, and their quest for initiative, self-building and development of their abilities to achieve empowerment in various fields, especially after the qualitative shift achieved thanks to the elections of youth centers, sports clubs and the Youth Advisory Committee.
HE the Minister of Culture and Sports stressed the importance of young people acquiring the best tools to serve the country and to represent it in an honorable manner in international forums; and the need for young people to build their intellectual, psychological and even physical capabilities.
The "Ambassadors of Support" aims to enable Qatari youth to acquire the basic skills to represent the State of Qatar in international forums, such as the United Nations organizations in all its branches, the UNESCO and others; as well as to meet official invitations by external parties and international organizations throughout the year, through lectures, seminars, workshops and field visits to some stakeholders in this field. The program includes basic concepts and processes in the diplomatic and leadership fields, strategic management and media skills for all participants. (QNA)
