Successes Made in Footwear Industry

Pyongyang, October 25 (KCNA) -- The footwear industry is pushing forward with domestic production of raw materials and recycling. After developing the methods for producing various brighteners and other materials with locally available raw materials, the Footwear Institute introduced them to various production units. Researchers found out a way to ensure domestic production of quartz powder and applied it to production, while speeding up the research into ultraviolet preventive and others. Various footwear factories established new production processes after setting the indices of domestic production of raw materials for this year. The Pyongyang Tannery developed a method for producing various supplementary chemicals badly needed for tanning. -0-
