Realization of “100 schools, 100 hospitals” program
Kyzyl-Orda, May 20, 2009 (Khabar) - 5 healthcare establishments will be built in Kyzylorda region according to “100 schools, 100 hospitals” program. Prenatal center and polyclinic will be put to exploitation soon, their construction was begun last year. 32 rural medical stations are also built due to the state funds. One more innovation, sanitary aviation began functioning and it will render medical aid in remote settlements. The prenatal center is for 200 seats and city polyclinic will be able to accept 500 people during one shift. This will unload functioning medical establishments.
Sapar Rakhmensheyev, deputy head of Kyzylorda department of healthcare:
- Many-profile infant’s hospital, many-profile city hospital and regional polyclinic will be built in 2010-2011. This year we will put to exploitation maternity hospital in Baikonur for 80 places.
Medical attendant Karima Tolepbergenova has been working in Lakaly settlement for 43 years. She says earlier ill persons had to go to regional center that is 80 km from the village in order to get a doctors’ consultation. But now villagers can receive timely medical aid in rural medical station that was built recently and it is equipped with all necessary.
Karima Tolepbergenova, medical attendant of Lakaly village:
- Due to the President we have medical station and medicines despite crisis. We have all the conditions and we just should work.
Construction of 22 more medical stations and 9 doctor’s ambulance stations will be ended in the region this year in framework of 3-year plan of development of healthcare. And qualified medical men will fly to remote villages by plane. The regional budget allocated 16 million tenge for reviving of sanitary aviation.
Liza Nursultanova, head of nephrology department of Kyzylrda regional medical center:
- Sanitary aviation plays a great role in prevention of mothers’ death. For example, recently one woman was saved due to it. The doctors flew by plane and operated woman who was losing much blood during baby birth. And woman was rescued.
One ill person in grave condition was hospitalized from Aralsk district with the help of sanitary aviation. His kidneys could stop functioning if medical aid was rendered a little bit later. Now the patient is recovering. Four people were rescued since the beginning of this year due to sanitary aviation.
