Vientiane children celebrates International Children’s Day
(KPL) More than hundred children in Vientiane gathered together at the National Culture Hall last Friday, to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of International Children’s Day.
The event was organised by the Lao Woman’s Union of Ministry of Information and Culture.
The celebration aimed at giving an opportunity for all children from different schools played together and enjoyable.
The Lao Woman’s Union of Ministry of Information and Culture also donated the snack and story books for children.
Deputy Minister of Information and Culture Professor Dr Borsengkham Vongdala, a representative of Secretary Committee for Mother and Children, Deputy Chairwoman of Lao Woman’s Union, many officials and guests from other sectors attended the function.
Chairwomen of Lao Woman’s Union of Ministry of Information and Culture, Ms Anong Vongsa briefed on the history of International Children’s Day.
Dr Borsengkham advised all parents to take care of their children by promoting education and children’s talent.
Many activities were performed by the children from kindergarten and primary schools in Vientiane included dance, singing, circus show, fashion show, poem reading and playing games.
