Foreign Minister meets with Syrian counterpart

New York, Sept. 21 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, met today with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Syrian Arab Republic, Dr. Faisal Mekdad, at the United Nations headquarters in New York, on the sidelines of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly. They discussed relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Syrian Arab Republic and ways of enhancing them in various fields. They also reviewed a number of regional and international issues of common interest. The meeting was attended by the Undersecretary for Political Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, the Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Nations in New York, Ambassador Jamal Faris Al-Rowaiei, and the delegation accompanying the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
