Oil Ministry, Bahrain Chemists Society inaugurate chemical forum

Environment and Oil Minister and Climate Special Envoy (SCE) Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Bin Daina delegated SCE Deputy Chief Executive Officer Shaikh Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Al Khalifa to inaugurate the first National Chemical Forum (Chemistry with a Bahraini Vision) with the participation of a number of chemistry specialists from various companies and national institutions. The forum was organized by the Bahraini Chemists Society in cooperation with the ministry and with the support of specialized companies. The forum stressed the role of chemistry in the industrial, analytical, environmental and academic fields, highlight the role of Bahraini chemists, exchanging knowledge and discussed chemistry in the petroleum and petrochemical industries, the environment, the industrial and economic sectors, in addition to academic studies. The SCE Deputy Chief reviewed experiences, administrative and technical practices and examine the best innovative solutions to enhance production sustainability. He stressed the importance of studying this specialty concerned with transforming chemical raw materials into useful and valuable products such as Petroleum products, plastics industry, fertilizer industry and other industries. The SCE Deputy Chief thanked Bahrain Society of Chemists President Dr. Abdul Wahed Al Nakal for preparing this important forum and the supporters, speakers and participants from various industrial companies in Bahrain. The conference was attended by more than 120 personalities specialized from various industrial companies such as the Bahrain Petroleum Company (BAPCO), the Gulf Petrochemical Industry Company (GPIC) and the Bahrain Aluminum Company (Alba), in addition to Health Ministry, Industry Commerce Ministry, SCE and academics from the University of Bahrain (UoB).
