UNESCO displays Ibn Khaldoun National School's greenhouse experience on its home page

Manama, Oct. 2 (BNA): Minister of Education and Chairman of the Bahrain National Committee for Education, Science and Culture, Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi, has praised the initiative of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNSCO) to display the greenhouse farming experience, implemented by the Ibn Khaldoun National School in Isa Town, on the home page of its its website, as one of the distinguished projects implemented by the UNESCO Associated Schools Project Network (ASPnet) worldwide.
The minister extended thanks to the school’s Board of Trustees and president, as well as the administrative and teaching staff, for the efforts they are making to take care of environmental projects, contributing to achieving UNESCO’s goals related to sustainable development.
In this regard, Dr. Al-Nuaimi underlined the Education Ministry’s keenness to support private schools and encourage their students to participate in various local and external events, wishing everyone continued success.
It is worth noting that the greenhouse farming experience aims to use the school facilities to be an essential part of preserving the environment and combating global warming, as well as introducing students to good irrigation practices to conserve water in modern ways.
