Speaker commends national media

Manama, Oct. 3 (BNA): Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal met with journalists and media professionals on the conclusion of the fifth legislative term and preparations for a new electoral, parliamentary and municipal entitlement, under the comprehensive development led by His Majesty the King. The Speaker praised the local press and national media’s commitment to shedding light on public opinion and the society’s progress within free and responsible expressions and the noble values ​​and principles of the press, in light of the support of HM the King and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. She praised the national media’s contributions to highlighting the issues and interests of the nation as well as the aspirations of the citizens.
