Council of Representatives receives US Congress delegation

Manama, Oct. 4 (BNA): The Council of Representatives received today a delegation from the US Congress as part of their visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain. The US delegation got informed about the kingdom’s parliamentary experience through a briefing by Assistant Secretary General for Committee Affairs and Sessions, Yahya Al Malla. An induction video was also presented on the specialties and work mechanisms of the Council of Representatives as well as its services and achievements under the comprehensive development march led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. Yahya Al Malla conveyed the greetings of Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal, and Secretary General, Chancellor Rashid Mohammed Bunejmah, stressing keenness of the Council of Representatives to promote the parliamentary diplomacy and exchange expertise with the US Congress.
