Bahrain Forum Dialogue's Positive Impact

Manama, Nov. 3 (BNA): The role taken by Bahrain under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, to host the Bahrain Dialogue Forum "East and West for Human Coexistence" has been hailed by political and religious figures. Syriac bishop Basel Yeldo said they were happy to participate in the interfaith dialogue taking place at an important time due to the situation in the Middle East, and the event is significant as it encourages dialogue and peaceful initiatives. He highlighted the success of the recent visits by His Holiness Pope Francis to Iraq and the United Arab Emirates. Patriarchal Assistant in the Syrian Orthodox Patriarchate of Antioch Bishop Matta Alkhouri praised the Kingdom’s role in the continuous endeavors to spread peace and dialogue and expressed gratitude for honor to witness the progress of civilization in Bahrain. Chief of Cabinet for the UN High Representative of the Alliance of Civilizations at United Nations Alliance of Civilizations Nihal Saad highlighted the importance of the forum and its significance in reinforcing the idea that the role of religious leaders is important. She hailed the opportunity for religious leaders to address global issues, such as climate change.
