NIHR president meets OHCHR head

Geneva, Nov. 10 (BNA): National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) President Ali Ahmed Al Derazi held a meeting with President of the Human Rights Council, Permanent Representative of the Argentine Mission to the United Nations in Geneva Federico Villegas. The meeting discussed the universal periodic review of Bahrain,and the role of national human rights institutions in making recommendations that help advance issues related to the protection and promotion of all human rights. They also reviewed the institutions' action on complaints and cooperation to find effective solutions to all relevant issues.
