Remains of US soldier repatriated to homeland

(KPL) The remains of US soldier who died in Laos during war have been repatriated to their homeland last week.
Handover ceremony took place in Savannakhet province on 4 June in the presence of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Phongsavath Boupha and US Ambassador to Laos, Mr Ravic Rolf Huso and concerned officials.
The remains have been handed over included a number of bones, teeth and a number of evidences and other items which were discovered in Khammouane, Attapue, Houaphanh and Xieng Khouang provinces.
The figure of US soldiers missing in action in Laos has 570 persons that have been informed to Lao Government. Since 1983 the Lao Government has handed over 230 remains to the US Government.
Along with a number of bones and items of US soldiers have also been handed over to the US Government.
