Russia & Belarus lawmakers to discuss security, defence & crime

NIZHNY NOVGOROD, June 18 (Itar-Tass) - The commission of the
Parliamentary Assembly of the Belarus-Russia Union on security, defence
and crime control will hold its meeting in Nizhny Novgorod on Thursday,
Itar-Tass learnt at the administration of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
The meeting will discuss the state of and prospects for military and
technical cooperation between Belarus and Russia and improvement of
partnership between munitions factories of Belarus and the Nizhny Novgorod
Region.
The meeting will be attended by members of the Belarussian and Russian
parliaments, leaders of the permanent committee of the Union State,
executives of Russian and Belarussian ministries and departments as well
as of the ministry of industry and innovations of the Nizhny Novgorod
Region.
Later in the day, Nizhny Novgorod veterans of the Second World War who
had participated in the liberation of Belarus from German fascists, will
be awarded the Medal "65 years of liberation of the Republic of Belarus
from Nazi invaders".
