Nigeria detains plane with arms from Ukraine to Equatorial Guinea
PRETORIA, June 18 (Itar-Tass) - Nigeria intercepted a plane, bringing
weapons from Ukraine to Equatorial Guinea, reported the SAPA news agency.
It was detained by Nigerian secret services in the international airport
of the city of Kano in the north of the country, where it made an
emergency landing as a result of a technical glitch.
The plane crew were arrested. Law enforcers found 18 crates with
weapons aboard the plane during the search. According to preliminary data,
three pilots are Ukrainian citizens.
