Phonthong development area to access electricity next two years

(KPL) A private company of D.S.K agreed to fork out more than 40 billion kip to install transmission line access to the Phonthong development area in Luang Prabang province.
This is a pre-investment term of the DSK Company which the government will pay back within two years.
A signing agreement was made between the President of D.S.K Company and the Energy and Mining Service of the authority of Luang Prabang province.
Mr. Bounhueang Duangprachanh, Luang Prabang Governor, Mr. Bounthavy Sisouphanthong, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment and other senior officials were attended the event.The project will install 22 Kilovolt of transmission line from Phou Thitphueang junction to Nasone village, located at Laos-Vietnam border, which covered distance of 103 km long.
The project will install 0.4 Kilovolt of transmission line with a 65-km stretch from Viengkham district to Nongkham village which totaled 41.9 billion kip.
The DSK Company confirmed the installation of transmission line work in this area would be achieved within two years.
Mr. Sayasing Sanakeo, Director of DSK Company said the Phonthong development area is one out of many focal areas in the province that will be developed as new urban of Luang Prabang province.
This is a stronghold of revolutionary force where villagers suffered from the poverty.
