On The 65th Anniversary Of The Establishment Of Diplomatic Relations .. The President: Our Relations With China Are Advanced And We Seek To Deepen Them

Baghdad / NINA / - The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, praised the Iraqi-Chinese relations, describing them as old, good and developed, expressing his appreciation for the contribution of Chinese companies to the reconstruction of Iraq.

President Rashid said in an exclusive interview with the Chinese news agency (Xinhua) on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries: "The relations are in good development, and we seriously and greatly care about the relations with China, and we deepen the relationship in many aspects, and we respect and encourage this relationship."

He expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Chinese companies that participated in the reconstruction of Iraq, saying: "We appreciate the efforts of international companies, including Chinese companies, to make efforts for the reconstruction of Iraq's infrastructure."

The President of the Republic pointed out: "Iraq needs to build roads, bridges and dams, as well as railways and other matters related to improving the infrastructure, and that Chinese companies can support Iraq in this field."

Regarding the role played by China and Iraq regarding the reconciliation between Saudi Arabia and Iran, President Rashid said: "I appreciate China's efforts, as well as the efforts we made in Iraq, in order to converge views between the Islamic Republic and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia," stressing: "Coordination and cooperation between countries serve humanity in a way better and keeps us away from conflicts, wars or problems.”/ End
