International Harbin fair fetches nine bln dlrs worth of contracts.

BEIJING, June 19 (Itar-Tass) -- Contracts totally worth 8.9 billion
dollars signed by Chinese and foreign companies have crowned the 20th
annual International Fair that ended in Harbin on Friday, the organizers
told Tass.

This year foreign companies that took part in the fair have signed 36
investment agreements with their Chinese partners. The overall sum of
foreign investments negotiated in the agreements is a little over one
billion dollars.
Representatives from 68 countries and world regions took part in the
economic forum that has been regularly held since 1990. Russia, countries
of the Northeast Asia, the CIS and Eastern Europe are the main
participants. This year Russia's contribution to the International Harbin
Fair was most significant and fruitful in the entire history of such
forums.
Since 2007 the Shanghai Cooperation Organization takes part in the
forum as its partner.
