Iraq And Jordan Discuss Enhancing The Prospects For Trade Cooperation Between Them

Baghdad / NINA /- The Minister of Trade, Atheer Al-Ghurairi, discussed with the Jordanian ambassador and the head of the Amman and Jordan Chamber of Industry the prospects for joint cooperation between Iraq and Jordan to create an integrated environment for commercial transactions in accordance with international standards.

 

 A statement from the ministry stated, “Today, Wednesday, Al-Ghurairi met with the Jordanian ambassador to Iraq, Montaser Al-Zoghbi, the head of the Amman and Jordan Chamber of Industry, and the delegation accompanying them to discuss prospects for cooperation and exchange views on topics of common interest to create an environment for trade exchange in accordance with international standards and overcome obstacles in a way that serves their common interests, the Jordanian participation in the 47th Baghdad Fair, and the opening of commercial centers in both countries.”

 

 The Minister directed the Department of Economic Relations to expedite the electronic transformation in certifying certificates of origin, in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through a single window to certify the rest of the documents, in addition to directing the Fairs company to provide facilities for Jordanian participation in the Baghdad International Fair, with an agreement to complete the procedures for establishing the permanent Jordanian commercial center on the Baghdad International Fair grounds. ".

 

 For his part, the Jordanian ambassador stressed his country's keenness to consolidate joint economic and trade relations, increase the volume of trade exchange, and encourage the Jordanian private sector to enter into partnerships with the Iraqi private sector with promising investment and economic projects./End
