The President Of The Republic Receives A Written Message From The Saudi King

Baghdad / NINA / -The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received today, Wednesday, a written message from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman Abdul Aziz, King of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

 

The Presidency's Media Department stated in a statement that "President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received a written message from the King of Saudi Arabia, during his meeting with the Saudi ambassador to Iraq, Abdul Aziz Al-Shammari, today at Baghdad Palace."

 

It added, "The message included the Kingdom's desire to strengthen relations between the two countries in a way that serves the common interests of the two brotherly peoples, and the importance of coordinating positions in confronting the challenges facing the region."

 

During the meeting, the President of the Republic stressed "the necessity of consolidating relations between Iraq and the Kingdom and expanding the horizons of constructive cooperation for the benefit of both countries."

 

For his part, Ambassador Al-Shammari affirmed "the Kingdom's keenness to strengthen its relations with Iraq and support its security and stability," praising "the positive developments that Iraq is witnessing in various fields."/End
