Foreign Ministry Official To The German Ambassador: The Int'l Community Must Deal Seriously To End The Palestinian Crisis
Baghdad / NINA /- The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Bilateral Relations, Ambassador Muhammad Hussein Muhammad Bahr Al-Ulum, met with the German Ambassador to Iraq, Christiane Hohmann, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Baghdad.
The Foreign Ministry stated in a statement: “During the meeting, they discussed strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries, expanding the horizon of cooperation in various fields, and discussing topics of common interest.”
According to the statement, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs touched on the current tragic situation due to the war in occupied Palestine, and the genocide to which unarmed civilians are exposed and the comprehensive destruction of residential neighborhoods and hospitals in Gaza.
He stressed that the international community must deal seriously to end the Palestinian crisis, because its impact will affect the entire Middle East region.
For her part, the German ambassador expressed her optimism that the crisis is temporary and will end soon, and she also thanked the Iraqi government for providing adequate protection for the German embassy in Baghdad and its staff.
The ambassador stressed the importance of continuing cooperation and coordination between the two sides in order to achieve the common interests of the two countries. /End
