Iraq Stresses The Importance Of The Unity Of The Arab And Islamic Position And Urgent Action To Stop The Military Escalation In Palestine

Baghdad / NINA /- Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fuad Hussein, stressed the importance of the unity of the Arab and Islamic position, urgent action to stop the escalation, and joint action to stop the ongoing violations practiced by the occupation authorities against the Palestinian people.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a statement, “Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein met with the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, and during the meeting, developments in the situation in the Palestinian territories were discussed.”

The Minister stressed "the importance of the unity of the Arab and Islamic position, urgent action to stop the escalation, and joint work to stop the continuing violations practiced by the occupation authorities against the Palestinian people, which were the main reason for the tension in the situation in the Palestinian territories," calling for "the need for the Arab countries to play a decisive role in order to implement International resolutions affirming the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.”
