The Director General Of Iraqi Ports Announces The Completion Of Berth No. (2) In Al-Faw Grand Port

Baghdad / NINA / -The Director General of the General Company for Iraqi Ports, Farhan Al-Fartusi, announced today, Monday, the completion of Berth No. (2) in the Grand Al-Faw Port.

Al-Fartusi said in a statement, "The project map in the Grand Faw Port, whether the five berths or other projects, is proceeding at a high and increasing pace, without any delay, and at advanced rates compared to what was planned."

 He added: “The completion rate exceeded 85% in the five piers project, which is a higher percentage than what was planned for the project.”

 It is noteworthy that the project to establish the container terminal for the Grand Al-Faw Port, which is one of the port’s five projects, includes the construction of five giant berths for unloading ships with a length of (1,750) meters, and the establishment of a container yard with a length of (2,000) meters and a width of (600) meters, with an initial capacity of up to two million containers annually.  /End
