The Iraqi Red Crescent: 25 Tons Of Food And Relief Materials Sent To Gaza Via Egypt

Baghdad / NINA / -The Iraqi Red Crescent Society announced, today, Tuesday, the sending of 25 tons of food and relief supplies to the Palestinian people via Air Force flights to Al-Arish Airport in Egypt.

The Iraqi Red Crescent Society said in a statement: “The Iraqi Red Crescent crews sent 25 tons of food and relief supplies donated from al-Hussein Shrine to Al-Arish Airport in Egypt in preparation for deliver them to the Palestinian Red Crescent.”

The statement added: "This is the tenth batch of food and relief supplies that were sent to the Egyptian Red Crescent to be delivered to the Palestinian Red Crescent through Rafah crossing."

The statement confirmed the continued sending of aid by the Iraqi government via the air and sea bridge agreed upon with the Egyptian government and through the coordination of the Iraqi Red Crescent with its Egyptian and Palestinian counterparts./End
