The Trade Minister confirms the readiness to hold the 47th session of the Baghdad International Fair

Baghdad / NINA /-  The Minister of Trade, Atheer Al-Ghurairi, announced the completion of all preparations to hold the 47th session of the Baghdad International Fair, which will be kicked off on the tenth of this month, with wide local and international participation .

Al-Ghurairi said during his tour of the exhibition's pavilions and citizens' rest areas to see the final stages of the opening of the new session and to complete all the details and procedures related to the services provided to participants and visitors of the exhibition: “ The exhibition in this session differs from previous ones in terms of organization, the number of participating countries and companies, and the infrastructure that we worked throughout. The previous months should be at the level of ambition, as the exhibition represents Iraq’s window to the world and contributes to achieving real partnerships for the Iraqi private sector with its counterparts in other countries of the world.”

The minister added: "The staff of the General Company for Iraqi Exhibitions, along with the supporting bodies in the ministry's departments and companies, have completed all final preparations for holding the new session of the Baghdad Fair, and we can say that this session will be organized at a good level, in addition to other aspects related to the rehabilitation and cultivation of green squares and the development of electronic gates." For the first time, we were able to take many measures in the exhibition’s pavilions and halls that continued over the past months, contributing to fundamental changes that showed the exhibition with artistic beauty and good taste.”

Al-Ghurairi pointed out, according to the statement, that more than 21 countries and more than 800 companies participated in the activities of the new session, some of which are participating for the first time. There are many requests to participate in the exhibition submitted to the General Company for Iraqi Exhibitions, while the Iraqi Federation of Industries participates with a large pavilion representing Iraqi industries of locally manufactured materials. “Some of them are exported to other countries of the world, and this is a step for which we are working to find all means of support to enable and support export.”

The Minister praised the great efforts made by the Ministry's staff to rehabilitate the exhibition halls, infrastructure, lighting, and rehabilitate the squares, fountains, and other public services, in a way that made the exhibition appear in a new look that will contribute to sending messages of reassurance about the economic and urban developments taking place in Iraq and the great services provided to our people.” /End
