The President Receives Danish Ambassador Stresses The Importance Of Cooperation And Coordination To Establish Regional And International Security And Stability
Baghdad / NINA /- The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received, today, Thursday, at Baghdad Palace, the Danish Ambassador to Iraq, Christian Thorning.
During the meeting, the President stressed the need to strengthen relations between Iraq and Denmark in areas of common interest in order to achieve the mutual interests of the two friendly peoples.
He pointed out, according to a presidential statement, the importance of cooperation and coordination between the two countries to support international efforts to establish regional and international security and stability.
For his part, the ambassador affirmed his country's support for Iraq's efforts to consolidate its security and stability, and its keenness to consolidate friendly relations and cooperation in a way that serves the aspirations of the Iraqi and Danish peoples.
The ambassador also made a presentation regarding Queen Margrethe II's abdication of the throne to Crown Prince Frederik Henrik and the upcoming coronation ceremony, where the President of the Republic expressed his wishes of good luck and success to the Prince in his future duties./ End
