The Secretary-General Of The Arab League Condemns The Iranian Bombing Of Erbil

Baghdad /NINA/- League of Arab States held an emergency session to discuss the Iranian bombing of Erbil.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement, "The Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, condemned the Iranian bombing of Erbil."

The Foreign Ministry added in its statement, "The Republic of Yemen and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain, Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, strongly condemned the Iranian bombing of the city of Erbil and declared their solidarity with the Republic of Iraq."

It indicated that the League of Arab States put forward “a draft resolution to vote on condemning the Iranian aggression against Iraq and supporting Iraq’s position and its legitimate right to affirm respect for its security and sovereignty.”/End
