PM Discusses With Guterres Developments In The Int’l Situation And The Impact Of Gaza War On The Stability Of The Region And The World

Baghdad / NINA /- Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani discussed with the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, the future of the relationship with the UN mission in Iraq and the situation in Gaza.

A statement from the Prime Minister’s Media Office stated: “Al-Sudani met with Guterres in the Swiss city of Davos, and they agreed to move on and rearrange the relationship with the United Nations Mission (UNAMI).

On the other hand, the Prime Minister affirmed Iraq's firm and principled position regarding the right of the Palestinian people to live in dignity on their land.

While Guterres stressed that the United Nations will continue its efforts seeking to end the war in Gaza and stop the suffering of defenseless civilians./ End
