Al-Mandalawi And Al-Asoumi Agree To Unify The Efforts Of Arab Parliaments In International Forums To Support The Palestinian Cause
Baghdad / NINA / - President of the Arab Parliamentary Union, Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi met today, Friday, on the sidelines of the Parliamentary Conference for South-South Cooperation, hosted by Morocco, with Adel Al-Asoumi, Speaker of the Arab Parliament.
During the meeting, according to a statement by Al-Mandalawi’s office, “mechanisms for enhancing cooperation and coordination between Arab parliaments were discussed, and emphasis was placed on unifying efforts and positions in international forums regarding crucial issues, most notably the Palestinian ones, and condemning the Zionist crimes against the people of the Gaza Strip.”
The two sides called for pressure to end this aggression and bring in aid, in addition to denouncing the attacks on Iraq, Yemen, Lebanon and Syria and the repercussions of these violations on the security and stability of the region and the expansion of the conflict there./End
