The President Affirms Iraq's Full Support For The Palestinian People Against The Aggression They Are Subjected To

Baghdad / NINA / -The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, affirmed Iraq's full support for the brotherly Palestinian people against the aggression they are being subjected to.

A presidential statement said that the President of the Republic received on Sunday the Jordanian Ambassador to Iraq, Montaser Al-Zoubi, who conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Abdullah II, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, to the President and his wishes for good health and success.

The President entrusted the Jordanian ambassador with his thanks and greetings to His Majesty the King for his good feelings, pointing out the depth of brotherly relations and cooperation between Iraq and Jordan, and the unity of their positions towards various crucial issues in the region, in a way that consolidates security stability for their peoples.

Regarding the Palestinian issue, the President of the Republic affirmed Iraq’s full support for the brotherly Palestinian people against the aggression they are being subjected to, stressing the necessity of stopping the violations targeting civilians and working to deliver aid to them, as well as unifying efforts aimed at ending this crisis once and for all.

For his part, Ambassador Al-Zoubi expressed his thanks and appreciation to the President of the Republic for his efforts and his keenness to consolidate relations with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, stressing his country’s endeavor to expand the horizons of constructive cooperation with Iraq in various fields in a way that serves the common interests of the two brotherly peoples. /End
