Electricity Company No 2
Hanoi (VNA) – The Electricity Company No 2, an affiliate of the Electricity
of Vietnam, will install a 110kV undersea cable in 2010 to provide power to the
Phu Quoc island touted as a resort paradise, in the southern province of
Kien Giang .
The 54km long cable line is expected to take one year to complete at an investment
cost of 1.3 trillion VND.
A 25 billion VND undersea cable has been installed within 19 days to supply power
to the Vinpearl Land resort and leisure complex on Hon Tre island in
southern coastal Khanh Hoa province.
The 3.4km cable is designed to meet power demand of the island for years to
