Lao-Thai Friendship Associations agree further cooperation

(KPL) The Lao-Thai and Thai-Lao Friendship Associations are planning to organize a seminar to enhance cooperation between Lao and Thai mass media.
This is an annual cooperation plan 2009-2010 of Lao-Thai and Thai-Lao Friendship Associations.
The plan was discussed at an annual meeting between Laos and Thailand, in Chiang Rai province, Thailand on 22 June.
Two sides have agreed to jointly cooperate in wide-ranging areas to strengthen the mutual understanding and benefit of the two countries, including trade border, tourism, investment and trade, survey and border demarcation cooperation.They evaluated and shared viewpoints on achievements over the past years.
The associations have recently organized many activities, contributing to development and promotion of mutual understanding between two people, including sport competition for friendship, festivals and other seminar.Each seminar held under theme “boosting cooperation on trade, economy and investment”.
The meeting was co-chaired by Presidents of Lao-Thai and Thai-Lao Friendship Associations, Dr Bosengkham Vongdala and Dr Weerapong Ramangkul.
