Vietnam won five gold, one silver and two bronze
Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam won five gold, one silver and two bronze medals, ranking
first at the Southeast Asian Youth Table Tennis Tournament 2009 in Thailand .
The Vietnamese team hooked gold medals in the men’s singles, men’s doubles, and
in the mixed doubles events for the under-18 age category. The fifth gold medal was
scooped up in the women’s singles event for the under-15 age category.
The Southeast Asian Youth Table Tennis Tournament Thailand 2009 was held from June
18-22 with the participation of table tennis players from eight regional countries.
They competed in seven events for the under-18 age category and two events for the
under-5 age category.-Enditem
