Farms in North Phyongan Province of DPRK Complete Plowing Most of Paddy and Dry Fields

Pyongyang, May 3 (KCNA) -- Farms in North Phyongan Province of the DPRK finished tilling most of paddy and dry fields.
In accordance with the detailed plan, agricultural officials in the province concentrated the farm machines, gave precedence to the supply of accessories, and guided the farm work to ensure both speed and quality.
Ryongchon and Sonchon counties fulfilled their plowing plans by enhancing the roles of farm machine stations to produce necessary accessories by themselves and by raising the operation rate of tractors.
Agricultural workers in Sinuiju City ploughed a large area every day, ensuring the depth of tilling according to the conditions of areas and fields, while giving priority to ensuring quality.
Farms in Pakchon and Unsan counties ploughed the paddy and dry fields according to the soil conditions and speeded up the work by making effective use of various farm implements and draught animals.
Similar successes were made in Unjon, Kujang, Uiju, Phihyon and other counties. -0-
