Phyongsong School of Arts Marks Its Founding Anniversary

Pyongyang, May 6 (KCNA) -- Phyongsong School of Arts in the DPRK marked its 50th founding anniversary.
President Kim Il Sung provided the original thought on art and literature and the tradition of revolutionary music and took a step to establish schools of arts so as to systematically replenish the reserve artistes who would shoulder the Juche-oriented art.
Chairman Kim Jong Il solved all problems arising in the construction of the school for the rosy future of the country's art development.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un acquainted himself in detail with the art education of the school and saw to it that modern musical instruments were supplied to it. And he guided the school to be a model in the contents and methods of education, educational conditions and environment.
Over the past 50 years, the school has creditably discharged its honorable mission and duty as an art educational unit in the sacred struggle to model the entire Party and the whole society on Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism.
A meeting took place at the South Phyongan Provincial Hall of Culture on May 5 to mark the 50th founding anniversary of Phyongsong School of Arts. -0-
