Short Course for Agricultural Officials in DPRK

Pyongyang, May 6 (KCNA) -- A short technical course on rice-transplanting for agricultural officials throughout the DPRK took place at the Chongsan Farm in Kangso District of Nampho Municipality.
In the short course, there were a general lecture and a video show on the issues arising in transplanting rice seedlings in the right time and in a scientific and technological way. They dealt with the important issues arising in setting the right time properly and finishing the rice-transplantion in the main areas by the end of May, given that the transplanting period was moved up with the rapid growth of seedlings as the high temperature continues throughout the country this year.
There was also a briefing by a scientist from the Academy of Agricultural Science on the technical issues arising in manuring and cultivation after rice-transplanting. -0-
